After recently moving to MA from Sunny California, my car suddenly started shifting rough and the red light on dash came on. I took it to a local mechanic that a neighbor referred me to and I was told I needed to get a new transmission. After discussion with family about finances, I decided to follow the company I used out west, Aamco, since it is a nationwide company and have been around for decades! I made the right choice, dropped the car off in the am as requested and got a call before noon letting me know it wasn't as bad as I had been told by another shop, no transmission issue, I needed an O2 sensor!!! Great customer service, I am glad I was convinced to drop the car off for them to take time and really see what was wrong. I would recommend this shop to anyone! Car repairs are scary
Got stuck in Wrentham my car not moving, Dave convinced me to have it towed in for their free inspection. Wasn't transmission, minor repair! They could have lied, charged for transmission, I wouldn't have known better. . Honest folks
Nothing good came from a visit to this shop in Nov 2105. The shop managers wife was sure friendly to start out, then the tables turned, her husband, head mechanic, took my Mother for a financial ride. 84 years old and she was lied to, cheated out of 2500.00 in repairs they did not actually fix. 2 days after getting her car back the transmission had issues again and had to be brought back. He fixed it at no charge, gee thanks, Let's see how long this lasts. They were rude to her on the phone, they saw a elderly woman needing help and they took full advantage of the situation. I would never ever recommend this shop to anyone for any thing. As a matter of face I will report them to BBB and the Attorney Generals Office.
My 2010 Nissan Frontier had an issue with it's transmission, so I after much deliberation I brought it to AAMCO in N. Attleboro. Coordinated a plan with one of the employees, Matthew, about how they'd go about rebuilding the transmission. Was a little pricey, but then again that's how things usually go when it comes to the tranny. Matthew was incredibly helpful and did an excellent job explaining the whole process, from the transmission job all the way to financing. I highly recommend going to this particular AAMCO for all of your transmission troubles!
My wife and I have lived in North Attleboro for over 20 years. Our long time mechanic retired recently and we were in need of a new mechanic. With my son's check engine light keeping us from getting an inspection sticker, we were in need of help. Through some online promotions, we decided to try AAMCO, and see what they could do. The problem took over two months to resolve, through no fault of AAMCO. (Our car was in and out of the shop over the two month period because we still needed to use it.) During the two plus months, Matt was extremely patient, diligent and flexible in helping us solve this problem. Matt made it his personal mission to help us solve the ongoing issue we had with our check engine light and he was able to get us a sticker. We are extremely happy with the service provided, and have found ourselves a new mechanic going forward. We would highly recommend AAMCO as your mechanic as well.
