The park has a small but lively zoo. Many farm animals live here but many other r exotic animals as well. There is a machine where you can buy feed for the animals that's only a quarter. Besides the animals there is also a HUGE green slide (biggest slide I've ever seen and that is NO exaggeration) there is also swings and smaller slides on the playground. For Ultimate Frisbee enthusiasts there is a full coarse hidden in the wood. Also in the winter there is a HUGE hill that uses to be uses as a ski hill that is perfect for sledding. Just make sure you have your walking boots on because the walk back up is a hike. The park has a couple baseball diamonds on Petti Field. Picnic tables line the entire property that are each equipped with an old school grills. Just add charcoal and light and you can have a hot lunch. I've even used kindling and cooked our lunch with a small fire in the stone grill. Parking is free as is everything else outside of the quarters you will inevitably use to feed the animals. The facilities are all Porta-Johns but they are usable and clean enough. Overall this place has everything you need to have an exciting and best of all FREE DAY.
Great place for families with kids. Lots of stuff to do. Great hikes. Nice animals.. there is a peacock that my kids loved, among other animals. Nice lookout. Overall a very nice place. Will go there again.
Very nice place to relax or walk. Only one incident where I was parked near the play ground and kids threw rocks. It shattered my back window. Luckly the mother was near. The animals are cared for and varied. Each spot has a picnic table and most have a BBQ set up.
Wonderful place for young kids. Very nice small zoo. Great Animals. Awesome playgrounds for kids. Very big tube slide. Kids love it. Amenitys include a charcoal grille at most parking spots. Nice place for summer birthday partys. Enjoy.
Good park for kids, plenty of places to hang around and play. There is a zoo inside and you can pet the animals and feed them. The park is accessible and you can drive around the one way loop in the park without having to get down from your car and still not miss much. Youngsters love the playground and hiking is nice and easy. Cleanliness is probably one aspect they can work on, specially during summer.
